For procedures performed under general anesthesia pet owners need to sign an informed consent form in advance.
For needle biopsies and rhinoscopy coagulation testing and platelet count should be performed within 7 days of the procedure. Buccal mucosal bleeding time test and platelet estimate can be performed by Dr. Mayer-Roenne on the day of the procedure.
Ultrasound images can be transferred to your computer right after the exam. They can also be downloaded from a secure webserver for 30 days or per request longer.
Written reports will be emailed within 2-4 business days of the exam or consultation.

Animals should be dropped off at or before the scheduled appointment time. Appointment time is always an estimate and Dr. Tina will typically arrive within one hour of the scheduled time.
Generally a 12-hour fasting time is recommended for all pets; specifics can be discussed for each individual case.
Clipping of hair is necessary for almost all ultrasound exams; this will be performed by Dr. Tina and her staff.
Some animals require sedation for ultrasound exams; please obtain consent from pet owners before the scheduled exam. Fractious cats and dogs may benefit from oral sedatives administered at home in the evening and/or morning before the exam.
